Waldar Weerman

My name is Waldar Weerman. In 1999, I graduated from the Vrije Pedagogische Academie (Free Pedagogical Academy) in Zeist, where I trained as a Waldorf teacher. After my studies, I worked in various fields, including Waldorf education, the arts and recreation sector, and biodynamic agriculture and horticulture. Last year, I worked as an activity coordinator in a mill/bakery in Maastricht, where I taught pie baking and told historical stories.

Portugal

In September 2024, I moved to Portugal, where we have a house and where my new studio is also located nearby. I currently live off the proceeds from my paintings and give painting courses. I also work as a distiller of essential oils on an organic herb plantation. It is a wonderful, almost alchemical process and, above all, very enjoyable to do.

Priest seminary

In addition, I am taking the first modules of a part-time course at the priest seminary in Hamburg, Germany. This is a course that combines spiritual science (anthroposophy), inner training and esoteric Christianity.
