The essential oils I add to the paint blends for my colour mixtures are made in southern Portugal. On the Herdade de Vale Covo estate, I help harvest and distil the various herbs into precious oils from which mainly personal care products are made.

I have found that adding essential oils to my blends, greatly, positively influences the clarity, agility and life force of my paintings. In addition, the scents add an extra therapeutic element to the painting process itself.

It is possible to order both the pure oils and the care products and sent them to you by post. Like me, you can use the essential oils to paint with, but of course you can also just use them as care products. The proceeds from the sale are to pay for my study costs at the priest seminar.
